What is Bubbleball?

Bubbleball is a cross between Soccer and Football.  You'll be encapsulated in a giant inflatable plastic ball with shoulder harnesses and handles inside.  Once inside your giant hamster-ball, you'll chase after a soccer ball trying to score a goal while bumping and smashing into your opponents along the way!

Will I Get Hurt?

As with any recreational sport, there is always a risk of injury.  We do recommend that you have a reasonable level of fitness to be able to cope with being ‘Bumped’.  The most we see isn’t so much injuries as being completely out of breath!

As is common with most sports and activities, a waiver will be required to be completed prior to participation.  Minors under the age of 17 will require the signature of a parent or guardian.

You can download the waiver here and bring it with you!

  • No jewelry, necklaces, watches, rings or earrings anywhere on your body.

Where do we play?

The great thing about bubbleball is that it can be played just about ANYWHERE! There are tons of parks and sports fields around the Lakeshore area that are perfect for bubbleball-providing they are clear of rocks or sticks. Obviously, we can't play where there are sharp objects!.

We can bring the equipment just about anywhere you want to play!  Both indoors and outdoors make for great playing areas. A gymnasium or basketball-court size field or court, works great for a 5-on-5 match!  The majority of our indoor games are played at Lakeshore Sports Centre on Airline Rd. in Fruitport, MI.

Do you have a facility where I can come play?

Currently, we provide the equipment and you supply the field. However, we can deliver the equipment almost anywhere, and there are many public parks & open fields in the Lakeshore area. We can play on tennis courts & in gyms too!

You do not need a full size soccer field. Most groups will want to play on in a smaller area because you won’t have to run as far and you will bump into your opponents more!  Also, some schools offer their fields for recreational use by the community.

Note: Some parks and fields require a permit, reservation, and/or a use fee for some organized or team activities, and that is your responsibility.

What is Open Play?

We occasionally will set up at various locations, times & dates throughout the Lakeshore area. We may be indoors or outdoors! All of the equipment will be set up! All you have to do is show up with some friends and pay to play!

Do I have to pay for set-up and break-down time?

No. We do not charge for set-up or break-down. We do ask that all players arrive to their event early in order to get any waivers signed and payments finalized.  It will take approximately 10-15 minutes to go over rules & safety guidelines & to ensure proper fit of Bubbleballs for all players. Arriving early ensures that the game will run on time and smoothly without taking time away from other players. (Travel fee may apply for distant destinations outside of the Lakeshore area.)

Do I need any additional equipment?

No. The game requires Bubble Balls, soccer ball, boundary markers & goals. We provide all of these. Some people bring their own knee pads for extra comfort/protection and to make it easier to stand up without using their arms.

As with any outdoor athletics, it is a good idea to bring sunscreen, water, and a towel.

How do I pay the deposit?

After you have confirmation of your date and time we will email you a detailed invoice from which you can make your deposit and pay online.
